Heading Home

We are leaving! Leaving Houston Texas Thursday 20th May, 2010.

So I guess this is the end of my blogging. Albeit it has been a bit hit and miss with all that goes on in the day to day life of a Mum with 3 kids. But it has been fun to share with family and friends which was the intention. Now I can just tell you over a coffee aaaahhhhh.

Thought I had better head out on the weekend and get some photos of the kids at some Texan iconic type of thing. Any ideas? Perhaps near a dude ranch with the white fences and longhorns in the background. ha ha

Well must go, 1 week is crazy talk to try and get organised to come home!!
Will see you all at home.

Naked Bungee

Well I guess I wont be able to say much when she comes home and tells me she went naked bungee jumping................... Jolly Jumper got to love them!

hhhhmmm it has been a while!

Well it has been ages actually. Crazy around here, nothing new I guess.

Shan left, a few weeks later Margaret and Hennie arrived, closely followed by Beth and Matilda, with Cam and Michelle to follow next weekend! phew feels like I never left home! ha ha Actually I LOVE it I must admit. No time to get home sick that way.

Well over the past few months Nait has gotten quite unwell with his excema. I took him to Dallas to an environmental centre and that didn't really help me much either. Anyway enough was certainly enough. He was sore scratching and covered all over his body, his face being a scratched up mess. After months of no sleep for any of us I have taken him to the doctor gotten some strong steroid cream and giving him antihistamines every day. A band aid solution at this point, but non the less, some respite.

Which brings me to the next point. Due to Nait being so unwell and a couple of other factors I am seriously thinking of coming home early with the kids and leaving Deno to fend for himself for a couple of months to return to us in Perth ASAP. Dene has to return to Perth for a week of work, so we were thinking of all coming home and then Dene returning back to Houston without us :(
At this point in time we think it is best for Nait and although most of you know Dene and I are big 'woos bags' when it comes to being apart, we think we can manage for a short period of time.

Sharni's school year is almost over. 3 weeks to go! She is exhausted and is having meltdowns on a regular basis. So hoping a couple of months off before starting school in term 3 should be good for her. Although she is excited about coming home I think she is going to miss a few good friends she has made while being in the US. She has also turned 6 in February! WOW that is the fastest 6 years.

Tahlia is crawling and pulling herself up on everything. It seems one minute she is a newborn baby, the next grabbing everything that is not placed higher than 3 feet. She is not very interested in solids though. hhmmm will keep pursuing as I remember Sharni not being very much in food at the same age. Tahlia much prefers the liquid gold!

Dene is really busy at work and it will probably only get busier in the lead up to coming back to Oz.

Well I had planned on getting fit before coming home............hhhmmm well can't do everything I guess! ha ha

We are very excited to welcome niece/cousin Charlee Kuenen to the world! Kane and Shenae's bundle of joy entered the world on the 20th April. As you all know I love babies and can't wait to get home to cuddle the new addition. Sharni can't believe she has the same name as her (Kuenen)! Can you believe it? She asks me!

Margaret and Hennie spent 6 weeks on and off visiting us this time. It was great to have the extra hands in the house again! Also did a little ski trip to Beaver Creek. Dene's last who ha of the season. He is a bit sad and worried we wont be doing it again anytime soon.

Then Beth and Matilda visited and we crammed as much into 10 days as we possibly could with the 4 kids! We had a ball and many laughs.

Well if we do come back early it may be as early as 3 weeks from now!!!!!!!!!!! Now there is ALOT of shopping to do in that time if we do! ha ha

Anyway looking forward to catching up with everyone when we get home. We have had a great time in Houston and have enjoyed every moment. I will be sad to go, but I will be really happy if Nait gets better upon our return.
